I've heard a lot of people talk about this game, so we picked it up before a party we had a few weeks ago. We ended up not playing it at the party because it's only for up to 6 players, I think... so we played it the next week when we had Corey and Carrie over. They had never played it either. The four of us had fun... it really is a great game! You do need at least 4 players, and I can see how it would be hard with a much larger group. The point of the game is to guess how other people answered a given question. They write down their answers and then another player reads them aloud to you. There's obviously some advantage to playing with your husband, but I was surprised at how often I really had to think about who answered what between him, Corey, and Carrie. I think it would be fun to play with family, too.

giftbox
So, maybe you're like me and meticulously make lists of the gifts you're giving and the gifts you want. And maybe you're also like me and you have a hard time remembering if you are in danger of getting your dad a sweater just like you did last year. Enter GiftBox! It tracks all your gifts for you. I just started using it for Christmas, but, you can use it for any holiday you want. You can enter your gift ideas, mark the ones you decide on, and mark if they've been ordered or if you have them in your possession. You can enter dollar amounts so it keeps track of spending. And it keeps your data around so next year you'll know to change it up. :) I think you can send a wishlist to friends and family too, although I didn't use that feature. Anyway - I'm sure you could do all the same in Excel, or, on a piece of paper for that matter - but that wouldn't be quite so geeky cool.
Happy shopping!

dr. pepper berries and cream soda
I like Dr. Pepper. Yum. And now they make a Berries & Cream version, both in regular and diet (I get the diet, as shown, and as you'll probably find out soon enough, I enjoy anything raspberry). Now, let's not forget my love, Diet Coke, which is better for drinking with food. This soda is more like a treat for me... a 0-calorie treat. It's something to grab when I want something sweet while I'm catching up on my reality TV after dinner.
While I was Googling this soda to find an image for the blog, I found out it has quite the following... it's even being sold on eBay... crazy! I guess they don't sell it everywhere. I hope you can find some. :)

urban decay eyeshadow primer lotion
I don't remember the last time a beauty product made me so happy. And satisfied. And happy.
I have issues with my eyeshadow... disappearing. I've tried different primers but it's still always gone by lunch. But when I use this stuff (which I now do every day) my eyeshadow stays put. Even the cheap stuff.
I buy mine at Sephora; I'm not sure where else you can get it. It's $15, which isn't bad if you'd normally reapply your eyeshadow... and I think you can get by with cheaper eyeshadow using this, too. It lasts a pretty long time.

google reader
I use Google Reader to read all my favorite blogs. SOOOO much easier than just clicking, or bookmarking, or whatever you're doing now. It lists all your favorite blogs and shows you when they've been updated. You can just read the entries right there, or click and go to the actual blog. I've also used Bloglines... but this is just more... I don't know... Googlish. :) Anyway. You can find it here. Try it out!
